Prof. Mohamed Fawzy Al Ghazi

Dr. Mohamed Fawzy El-Ghazy is Associate Professor of Translation and Text Linguistics at the Institute of Linguistic Studies and Translation (for postgraduate studies), Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, and formerly Director of the University's English for Special Purposes Center.

Practical experiences:

In 2012, the United Nations invited him to its headquarters in New York in a final interview, as a candidate for the position of “recorder/translator, minutes” of the Security Council and General Assembly sessions after passing all the United Nations competitive exams among only ten candidates worldwide in the same year

He was nominated for the position of a teacher at the School of Oriental and Asian Studies SOAS, University of London in 2013 if he was an assistant professor at the Faculty of Arts, King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia at the time.

Performed simultaneous and follow-up translations in several countries, including Hong Kong, Thailand, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Egypt (especially since he started his life as an interpreter for a group of Gulf businessmen after graduating).

He lectured at various universities at home and abroad, for example, but not limited to, the College of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University (Egypt), King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Taibah University in Madinah (Saudi Arabia), as well as the Center for Human Studies and Research (Morocco), in addition to his University of Alexandria and other universities. where he supervised and supervised more than 22 master's and doctoral theses in translation and linguistics.

He has several television episodes on the problems of translating the Qur’an on Huda TV, as well as two programs on the Saudi European Radio.

He works simultaneously as a translator and a cooperating trainer in the Department of Translation and Interpretation at the Prophet's Mosque in the fields of interpretation, translation and screen translation.
